Elisha Ben Kimon Appointed Permanent Military Correspondent for Yedioth Ahronoth and ynet

Yedioth Ahronoth and ynet announced the permanent appointment of journalist Elisha Ben Kimon as their military correspondent after serving as interim for about six months. Ben Kimon replaces Yoav Zeitoun, who left the position amid allegations of sexual offenses involving a minor; however, the Central District Prosecutor's Office closed the investigation due to lack of evidence.

Ben Kimon, 43, has worked with Yedioth Ahronoth and ynet for over a decade, covering settlement issues and the West Bank. He has published several investigative reports on security, settlements, and the defense establishment. Born in Jerusalem and raised in the Religious Zionist community, his family moved to Ofakim during his childhood before returning to Jerusalem. He studied at the pre-military preparatory program "Atzmona" prior to the evacuation of Gush Katif.

He served as a combat medic in the "Orav" unit of the Givati Brigade during his military service. After his discharge, he began his journalism career at "Yedioth Yerushalayim" before moving to cover the West Bank for Yedioth Ahronoth and ynet. Ben Kimon is married to Sarit, has three children, and lives in Oranit.
