Elisha Ben Kimon Appointed Military Correspondent at Yedioth Ahronoth and Ynet

Yedioth Ahronoth group and Ynet announced the official appointment of Elisha Ben Kimon as their permanent military correspondent on Thursday. Ben Kimon, who served as acting military correspondent for the past six months, is recognized as a leading journalist and expert on the West Bank and Samaria region. He previously spent over a decade covering settlement issues for Yedioth Ahronoth and Ynet, breaking numerous significant stories including investigative failures in the death of Ahuvia Sandak, large budget transfers by Minister Bezalel Smotrich to settlements, the struggle to regain access to Joseph's Tomb, approval of settlements in northern Samaria, and structural changes in the Civil Administration and Hebron Agreement.

The media group praised Ben Kimon as a dedicated field reporter who prefers on-the-ground work over studio appearances, and noted his role as a key contact for international journalists covering the region. He also lectures Israeli security agencies on related topics. Born in Jerusalem's Jewish Quarter in 1982, Ben Kimon grew up in the religious Zionist community, served as a combat medic in the Givati Brigade's "Erev" unit, and began his journalism career after military service at Yedioth Jerusalem before moving to cover the West Bank for national outlets. He is married to Sarit, father of three, and lives in the settlement of Oranit.
