Ex-IDF Chief Gadi Eisenkot's Associates Linked to New Haredi Party Amid Denials

According to a report by journalist Shahar Glick on Kan 11, associates of former IDF Chief of Staff and current Knesset member Gadi Eisenkot, specifically Ronen Manlis and Ronen Aviani, were involved in the early stages of establishing the new political party "The Haredi Public" and helped develop its strategic framework. Despite this involvement, Aviani reportedly expressed private doubts about the party's ability to pass the electoral threshold in upcoming elections.

The report also claims that Inbar Giti, a candidate associated with Eisenkot, maintains contact with members and donors of "The Haredi Public" party. However, both the "Yashar" party and "The Haredi Public" party categorically denied these allegations. "Yashar" stated that any claims of their involvement in the formation of "The Haredi Public" are completely false and fabricated. Similarly, "The Haredi Public" party emphasized that Manlis, Aviani, and Giti have never advised their faction, calling the accusations serious defamation.

Moti Leitner of "The Haredi Public" accused a group of panicked political operatives from established Haredi parties of spreading lies to undermine the right-wing bloc and avoid addressing critical issues within the Haredi community. Ronen Aviani also dismissed the claims as incorrect and lamented the reliance on unverified information without fact-checking. The party was described as emerging from the demands of tens of thousands of Haredim seeking representation within the right-wing camp.

The controversy highlights tensions within the Haredi political landscape ahead of the elections, with competing factions disputing the origins and alliances of new political entities linked to prominent figures like Eisenkot. No further developments were reported at this time.
