Hapoel Tel Aviv Prepares for First Leg Against Katowice with Strong Fan Support

Hapoel Tel Aviv is gearing up for its opening match against Katowice, aiming to secure a crucial advantage ahead of the challenging return leg in Poland. Approximately 2,000 tickets have been sold to Hapoel fans, including local supporters who experienced the vibrant atmosphere at the previous game in Mysłowice. On the opposing side, around 600 Polish fans are expected to support Katowice during the match.

Due to a UEFA-imposed conditional sanction banning away fans, any flare lighting by Hapoel supporters could result in them being barred from attending the away fixture in Poland. On the sporting front, coach Eliniv Berda plans to field the same starting eleven that played against Ludogorets. This includes Shanda Silva continuing on the left wing and Omri Altman positioned behind Emmanuel Boateng.

New signing Douglas Owusu has been registered for European competition but will not play as he has yet to train with the team. The Ghanaian forward will attend the stadium to meet the Hapoel fans for the first time.
