Hapoel Tel Aviv Prepares for First Match Against Katowice with Strong Fan Support

Hapoel Tel Aviv is gearing up for their opening match against Katowice, aiming to secure an important advantage ahead of the challenging second leg in Poland. Approximately 2,000 tickets have been sold to Hapoel fans, including some local Polish supporters who experienced the vibrant atmosphere at the previous game in Mysłowice. On the opposing side, around 600 Polish fans are expected to support Katowice. Due to a UEFA sanction, Hapoel faces a conditional ban on away fans, meaning any flare lighting could result in their supporters being barred from attending the away match in Poland.

Coach Eliniv Breda plans to maintain the same starting lineup used in recent matches against Ludogorets. This includes Shanda Silva continuing on the left wing and Omri Altman playing behind Emmanuel Boateng. New signing Douglas Owusu, who has been registered for European competition, will not play as he has yet to train with the team. The Ghanaian forward will attend the stadium to meet the fans for the first time.
