Israeli Settlers Attack Palestinian Village Near Hebron, Injuring Civilians and Damaging Property

Palestinian media reported that Israeli settlers attacked residents of the village of Kharbat Tuba in the Masafer Yatta area near Hebron overnight between Wednesday and Thursday. The settlers reportedly set fire to five buildings, damaged infrastructure, and vandalized property, including the village's solar energy system and hay bales. One additional building was destroyed. Five Palestinians, including a woman and two children, were injured and taken to Beit Jala Governmental Hospital for treatment. The phrase "The Land of Judah Awakens" was spray-painted at the scene.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) stated that troops were deployed to the nearby village of Jalud in the Samaria Division after reports of several Israeli civilians setting fire to Palestinian vehicles on the village outskirts. The IDF said forces restored order and conducted searches but found no suspects.

Separately, the Palestinian Red Crescent reported that 10 people were injured during an IDF operation in the Qalandiya refugee camp north of Jerusalem. Earlier this week, Israeli police announced that the prosecution would soon file charges against a 16-year-old from Beitar Illit for assaulting a Palestinian woman and cruelly abusing an animal in Masafer Yatta in May, an attack documented by local residents.
