Settlers Attack Palestinians Near Hebron, Burn Vehicle, Attempt Child Abduction
Palestinian sources reported that settlers on Sunday attacked citizens, burned a vehicle, and attempted to abduct a child during an incursion into the "Safa" area of Beit Ummar, north of Hebron. A local resident, Salim Muhammad Hussein Adi, stated that settlers tried to assault him while he was on his land in the "Safa" area and subsequently burned his vehicle. Separately, media activist Muhammad Awad reported that settlers raided two homes in the same area, assaulting women and children, and attempted to kidnap a child before residents intervened. In a related incident, Palestinian sources indicated that a citizen was injured on Monday after being attacked by settlers in the Masafer Yatta region, south of Hebron. Activist Osama Makhmarah said settlers attacked citizen Farid Al-Hamamdeh in the "Fateh Sidro" area, spraying him with pepper gas, which caused him to choke.
