Left-Wing NGO Encourages Bedouin Voting to Secure Arab Parties' Role in Government

The left-wing organization 'Zazim' has launched a campaign to boost voter turnout among the Bedouin community in Israel, aiming to strengthen Arab parties' political influence. The NGO recruits volunteers, primarily women, to transport Bedouin women to polling stations ahead of upcoming elections. Officially, the group frames its efforts as a democratic civic action to encourage voting and promote democracy.

However, in private conversations abroad, Zazim's CEO, Reloka Ganoa, revealed the true objective is to replace the current right-wing government with an Arab-led coalition. The campaign also promotes the legitimacy of Arab parties joining the governing coalition, arguing this is essential for a democratic state. Ganoa stated, "With the Arab parties, victory will come easily."

This political motivation has raised concerns and is expected to be reviewed by Judge Solberg, chairman of the Central Elections Committee, who may intervene. Zazim has not responded to requests for comment. The campaign highlights the ongoing political struggle over Arab representation and coalition-building in Israeli politics.
