Israel's political leadership intervened to prevent a large-scale military strike in Lebanon following a violation of the ceasefire by Hezbollah, according to a report published on Wednesday by Walla News. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) had initially sought to respond forcefully to what they described as a blatant breach of the ceasefire by the terrorist organization Hezbollah. Earlier strikes targeted weapons depots and infrastructure near the village of Al-Mansouri, following evacuation warnings issued by the IDF to local residents. The IDF stated that Al-Mansouri lies within the security zone under its control and emphasized that the evacuation was intended to protect civilians.

These events coincided with diplomatic talks between Israel and Lebanon in Rome, where issues such as the ceasefire, pilot zones, tunnel demolitions, and the destruction of villages in southern Lebanon were discussed.
