President Herzog Urges Unity Amid Rising Israeli Emigration Concerns

Israeli President Isaac Herzog addressed the election period, emphasizing that it should not be viewed as a civil war. He spoke at the reburial ceremony of Shimon and Rivka Herzl, the grandparents of Israel's founding visionary Theodor Herzl, whose remains were transferred from the Jewish cemetery in Belgrade to Israel. Herzog stressed the importance of continuing the historic mission of building the Jewish state together. He expressed sorrow over Israelis leaving the country, saying, "My heart aches for every individual, couple, or family that leaves for another place, there is no other place for us." This statement comes in the wake of a recent study revealing a record number of Israelis emigrating abroad over the past three years.
