Hazi Simantov Leaves Channel 13 News After Nearly 24 Years

Hazi Simantov, head of the Arab affairs desk at Channel 13 News, announced his departure from the company after nearly 24 years. In a post, Simantov said he decided to end his role to move on, describing his time at the news outlet (formerly Channel 10) as an incredible journalistic experience that allowed him to bring authentic voices from the Middle East. He promised to stay in touch.

Channel 13 confirmed his exit, stating that after two decades in journalism, Simantov requested to conclude his position and intends to leave the media world. The network added that it is currently in a growth phase and will soon announce new appointments, thanking Simantov for his excellent journalism and wishing him success in his future endeavors.

However, sources close to Simantov contradicted the claim that he plans to retire from media. According to journalist Gil Mashali, Simantov is exploring several professional offers, all within the media industry, indicating he does not intend to leave the field entirely.
