Police Investigate Grenade Attack on Herzliya Business Amid Rising Crime Wars

On Wednesday morning, Israeli police launched an investigation into a suspected grenade attack on a business in Herzliya. The incident occurred overnight when authorities received reports of an explosion near the establishment. Police from the Glilot station and bomb disposal experts from the Tel Aviv district responded to the scene, finding no damage or injuries. The device is believed to have been a stun grenade, with the motive suspected to be criminal.

Earlier this week, a similar stun grenade exploded near a residential building in the Tzameret neighborhood of northern Tel Aviv. Police from the Lev Tel Aviv station and bomb squad also investigated that incident, which likewise caused no harm or damage and is considered linked to criminal activity.

These attacks are part of an escalating wave of violence involving grenade throws, shootings, and arson, often targeting branches of the "Jafnika" restaurant chain. Authorities suspect these events are connected to a violent feud between the Mosli and Jarushi crime families. The violence reportedly intensified following the arrest of crime boss Yossi Mosli about two weeks ago, who is suspected of involvement in the grenade war amid a financial dispute with the Jarushi organization. Police also believe there may be attempts to harm the restaurant network owned by businessman Barak Abramov.

The ongoing crime conflict has raised concerns about public safety and the potential for further violent incidents in central Israel.
