Former and Current Likud Officials Investigated for Multi-Million Shekel Financial Crimes
Earlier this week, several senior figures associated with the Likud party were detained for questioning by the Lahav 433 unit on suspicions of economic offenses involving millions of shekels. Those investigated include contractor Dudi Apple, who has been undergoing insolvency proceedings since 2012; former Knesset member and lawyer Michael Kleiner, who serves as president of the Likud Appeals Court; and businessmen brothers Yafeh Dayan and Yitzhak Dayan. The four were detained on Monday morning and questioned at the Lahav 433 offices alongside the official responsible for insolvency and economic rehabilitation procedures. The suspicions center on concealing rights in real estate assets and smuggling assets.
