Bnei Sakhnin Coach Yossi Abuksis Retains Support Despite Seven Consecutive Losses

Bnei Sakhnin continues to struggle amid a difficult period, suffering a 1-0 defeat to Ironi Kiryat Shmona in the Toto Cup group stage on Tuesday. This loss marked the team's seventh consecutive defeat across all competitions since Yossi Abuksis took over as head coach. Under Abuksis, Sakhnin has recorded only one win in 13 matches. Despite the poor results, the club's management has expressed full confidence in Abuksis and refrained from public criticism at this stage.

During the recent match, Abuksis was visibly frustrated with striker Basil Khoury, who received two yellow cards within 11 minutes and was sent off in the 39th minute. The coach openly criticized the sending-off to the bench staff and remained angry on the sidelines. Meanwhile, the club is awaiting the completion of its squad registration, as players Dmitry Kabra, Mustafa Sheikh Yosef, and Niv Livnat have yet to be registered with the football association or pass the necessary checks.

In parallel, Bnei Sakhnin is actively working to sign two forwards and a right-back before the start of the season, alongside integrating new foreign players into the team. The club aims to strengthen its roster to improve its performance in the upcoming league campaign.
