Two Suspects Arrested for Vandalizing Memorial of Fallen Golani Fighter in Negev
Israeli police have arrested two suspects in the Bedouin village of Bir al-Hadaj on suspicion of vandalizing a memorial dedicated to Staff Sergeant Yehuda Peretz in the Negev settlement of Retamim. The incident reportedly took place last month, and the suspects are currently being interrogated at the Segev Shalom police station in the southern district. Yehuda Peretz, a Golani Brigade soldier from Retamim, tragically died in a civilian car accident on August 8, 2025. He was due to be married about a month after his death.
