Three Buses Involved in Fatal Ashkelon Traffic Accident Killing Woman

A deadly traffic accident occurred in Ashkelon on David Remez Street involving three buses and pedestrians. An approximately 80-year-old woman was fatally struck and died at the scene despite rescue efforts. Two other women, both around 70 years old, sustained severe and moderate injuries with multiple traumas and were transported to Barzilai Hospital for treatment.

Paramedics Doron Bar Sheshet and Ben Dolinger from Magen David Adom reported receiving multiple calls about the collision between buses and pedestrians. Upon arrival, they found the elderly woman unconscious, without pulse or breathing, and after medical checks, her death was confirmed on site. Additional MDA teams treated and evacuated the two injured women.

The Israel Police have launched an investigation into the circumstances of the accident. Police officers from Ashkelon station and traffic accident investigators from the Lachish district are managing the scene, regulating traffic, and continuing their inquiry. Medical sources confirmed the fatality and the serious injuries of the two other victims.
