Bnei Brak Honors 75 Years of Yad L'Achim's Dedication Against Missionary Activity

This week, Bnei Brak's city officials gathered in a special session at the mayor's office to honor Yad L'Achim's 75 years of dedicated work combating missionary efforts and sects. The event was led by Mayor Chanoch Zeibert and City CEO Israel Eisenstein, who hosted top Yad L'Achim leaders, department heads, and key activists. The meeting began with a moving historical overview of the organization's founding 75 years ago in Bnei Brak by Rabbi Shalom Dov Lipschitz, who started the work from a small room in the home of the city's chief rabbi, Rabbi Yaakov Landau, who immediately supported the mission to spiritually integrate Yemenite immigrants and protect them from injustices in the camps.

Over seven decades, Yad L'Achim activists have saved thousands of souls, bringing tens of thousands into religious and Haredi educational frameworks and rescuing many from missionary influence, returning them to their faith. Mayor Zeibert expressed deep emotion and pride that Bnei Brak hosts the organization's headquarters, calling its mostly discreet and behind-the-scenes work a "holy and sublime" effort that saves entire worlds.

Rabbi Shmuel Lipschitz, a senior Yad L'Achim leader, connected the flourishing Torah study in Bnei Brak to divine assistance empowering the organization's fieldwork. He emphasized the city's Torah institutions as the vital source of strength enabling these miracles. Rabbi Yoav Robinson, head of the anti-missionary department, outlined current emergency actions and challenges, while senior activist Rabbi Chaim Eisenberg proposed practical ideas to expand cooperation between the municipality and Yad L'Achim.

Mayor Zeibert warmly endorsed these initiatives and pledged municipal support to elevate the organization's noble rescue and kindness mission. The ceremony culminated with the mayor presenting a prestigious certificate of appreciation on behalf of Bnei Brak's residents and leaders, recognizing the tireless activists who fight spiritual battles and bring Jewish brothers closer to their heavenly Father.
