Israeli Cybersecurity Firm Zenity Raises $125 Million to Secure AI Agents Globally

Israeli cybersecurity company Zenity announced a $125 million Series C funding round led by Norwest Venture Partners, bringing its total capital raised to approximately $185 million. Founded in 2021 by former Unit 8200 veterans Ben Kliger and Michael Bergori, Zenity develops a platform designed to secure AI agents integrated into organizational processes. Unlike chatbots that only provide answers, AI agents autonomously access systems, execute tasks, and make decisions on behalf of users, requiring strict security controls to ensure their actions align with organizational policies and permissions.

Zenity's platform analyzes AI agents' intended actions in real time, allowing organizations to approve, modify, or block operations based on context. The system distinguishes legitimate activities from manipulations or misuse. It supports various AI tools including Google’s Bard (formerly Gemini), ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, and others, as well as internally developed autonomous agents. The company has published security research exposing vulnerabilities in AI platforms such as ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot, with plans to release further findings at the upcoming Black Hat conference in Las Vegas.

The new funding will accelerate Zenity's global expansion and enhance its platform capabilities to meet growing demand. Zenity currently employs over 230 staff worldwide, with about 150 based in Israel, and counts clients such as Clalit Health Services, Amdocs, Pioneer, Veronis, and Telit in Israel, alongside Fortune 500 companies globally. Co-founder and CEO Ben Kliger emphasized the shift from AI experimentation to widespread adoption, highlighting the need for new security approaches to maintain control and trust as AI agents become central to business operations.

Norwest Venture Partners partner Asaf Harel praised Zenity's early market entry, technology, and adoption by leading organizations, expressing confidence in the company's potential to lead AI agent security. Zenity’s R&D center is located in Tel Aviv, with marketing, sales, and operations managed from New York. Women comprise approximately 40% of its global workforce.
