Jerusalem Approves 30-Story Agron Tower Near Paris Square

Jerusalem's District Planning and Building Committee has approved the Agron Tower project by Inav Company, located at the corner of Agron and King George Streets near Paris Square and Independence Park. The committee rejected all objections to the plan, which envisions a mixed-use development replacing the 1960s Amir House, originally designed by architect David Reznik.

The new 30-story tower will include 110 residential units, 114 hotel rooms, two floors of commercial space, and a floor dedicated to public buildings. The project is designed by New York architect Ian Bader in collaboration with Israeli architects Anat Ilon and Baruch Reznik, the son of the original building's architect. The development aligns with Jerusalem's planning policy to increase density along the light rail corridor.

The committee highlighted that the project will enhance economic activity and strengthen the city center by integrating residential, hospitality, commercial, and public uses at a key junction along the light rail route. Inav CEO Effi Katz expressed confidence that the project, developed in cooperation with Jerusalem Municipality, will contribute to the renewal of downtown Jerusalem and create a vibrant mixed-use complex in the heart of the capital.
