Jerusalem Approves 30-Story Agron Tower Near Paris Square

Jerusalem's District Planning and Building Committee has approved the "Agron Tower" project by Inbal Company, located at the corner of Agron and King George Streets near Paris Square and Independence Park. The committee rejected all objections to the plan, which replaces the 1960s "Amir House" building designed by architect David Raznik. The new mixed-use tower will rise 30 stories along the light rail corridor, featuring 110 residential units, 114 hotel rooms, two commercial floors, and a public building floor.

The tower's design is led by New York architect Ian Bader, collaborating with Israeli architects Anat Ilon and Baruch Raznik, son of the original building's architect. The committee emphasized that the project supports urban densification along the light rail axis and contributes to the development of central Jerusalem by increasing economic activity and strengthening the city center.

Efi Katz, CEO of Inbal Company, stated that the project, developed in cooperation with the Jerusalem Municipality, will aid the renewal of downtown Jerusalem by creating a vibrant complex combining housing, hospitality, commerce, and public uses in the heart of the capital.
