Man Found Dead Beside Grave of Childhood Friend Murdered in Nova Party Tragedy

Bar Bachur Asraf, a 30-year-old man from Shaarei Tikva, was found dead beside the grave of his close childhood friend Liron Berda, who was murdered in the Nova party massacre. His sister, Lehi, revealed that Bar had changed significantly since Liron's death and that the family had lost contact with him over the weekend. She discovered him lying on Liron's grave at the Elkana cemetery after noticing blood and hearing a gunshot in the area. Medical teams attempted resuscitation but confirmed his death due to a chest injury.

The family was gathered for a wedding celebration of Bar's brother when the incident occurred. Lehi suggested that Bar’s emotional pain over Liron’s absence may have contributed to his actions. Bar was buried on Sunday at the Nahal Rabah cemetery in Elkana, located in the Shomron region.

The tragedy highlights the ongoing psychological trauma experienced by survivors and families affected by the Nova party massacre. The Israeli mental health organization ERAN offered immediate emotional support services, emphasizing the importance of timely intervention. Shiran Maor, chair of the organization Lev Batuach, stressed the need for continuous mental health support not only for direct survivors but also for their families and friends, describing them as "circle 1.5" who suffer deeply from the aftermath of the events since October 7.
