The Presidency of Iran's Assembly of Experts issued a statement condemning repeated violations of a memorandum of understanding, asserting that the US president's commitments cannot be trusted. The statement dismissed hopes of reaching an agreement with what it termed the "arrogant regime," implying the United States. It emphasized that such hopes would not yield any positive outcome. Furthermore, the statement declared that the Iranian people and armed forces are prepared to sacrifice their lives to defend their honor and security. It characterized the confrontation between the Islamic Revolution and Israel as a "fundamental conflict" and described the current war as a "decisive war."
