German Airline Condor Resumes Flights to Israel With New Daily Tel Aviv-Frankfurt Route

German airline Condor officially resumed operations in Israel over the weekend, marking its first landing at Ben Gurion Airport in 70 years. To celebrate its return, Condor launched a new daily flight connecting Tel Aviv directly to Frankfurt, one of Europe's major airports. This route enables passengers to continue to dozens of destinations across Europe and worldwide.

Condor's comeback aligns with a broader trend of foreign airlines expanding their services to Israel, with many increasing flight schedules to Ben Gurion Airport. Known for its distinctive colorful livery featuring broad stripes in yellow, blue, red, green, and beige, reminiscent of striped beach towels, the design reflects the airline's vacation-oriented brand identity.

Founded in 1956, Condor is one of Germany's oldest airlines, currently transporting about 10 million passengers annually to over 70 destinations across Europe, Africa, Asia, and North America. The company has invested billions of euros in modernizing its fleet, being the first German airline to operate Airbus A330neo aircraft for long-haul flights and gradually replacing short- and medium-haul planes with more fuel-efficient Airbus A32Xneo models.

The new Tel Aviv-Frankfurt route enhances Germany-related flight options and expands onward connections to Europe, North America, and Asia, complementing recent expansions by other foreign carriers in the Israeli market.
