Israel Asked to Develop Travel Program for Gaza Students Amid International Pressure

Israel has received a commitment from the Peace Council to identify countries worldwide willing to accept students and patients from Gaza. This pledge, revealed in a document published by Kan 11, serves as a form of compensation after the initial public discussion of Gaza migration, including by the Trump administration, diminished due to strong opposition from Arab states. The document, which outlines demands recently conveyed by the Peace Council and the United States to Israel, requests the creation of a travel program for Gaza students and the extensive evacuation of Gaza patients abroad. This aligns with the Peace Council's promise to find countries to host these individuals, facilitating voluntary migration, albeit not on the scale Israel initially sought.

An external source involved in negotiations with Hamas told Kan 11 that Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey are pressuring Hamas to sign the current agreement, which includes handing over weapons in their possession. Among these countries, Egypt is reportedly exerting the most significant pressure on Hamas.
