Israel Secures Commitment to Relocate Gaza Students and Patients Abroad

Israel has obtained a commitment from the Peace Council to identify countries worldwide willing to accept students and patients from Gaza, according to a document revealed on Monday by Kan News. The document, shared by the Peace Council and the United States, requests Israel to develop a travel plan for Gaza students and arrange extensive evacuation of Gaza patients abroad.

Last week, Kan News reported Israel's opposition to the Peace Council's plan being negotiated with Hamas. A diplomatic source described the process as aiming to eliminate weapons manufacturing and tunnels in Gaza, while an Israeli official emphasized that full disarmament is a prerequisite. A foreign source involved in negotiations with Hamas stated that Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey are pressuring Hamas to sign the agreement on the table, which includes handing over weapons in their possession. Egypt is reportedly applying the most significant pressure among these countries.

Regarding the document, a political source noted that Hamas will not retreat from its "yellow line" stance before disarming. This highlights the ongoing tension and the conditions Hamas sets in the negotiations with the Peace Council.
