Israeli Artistic Swimming Duo Places Fifth in European Championships Technical Mixed Duet Final

The Israeli artistic swimming team continues its strong performance at the European Championships in Paris. On August 2, the duo of Yogev Dagan and Lior Makmel, both representing Maccabi Tzafririm Holon, competed in the technical mixed duet final, finishing in fifth place. They scored 193.8017 points with a clean routine and a notable improvement in artistic impression, marking an increase of about six points compared to their last youth European Championship performance in Munich.

This result represents Israel’s highest achievement so far at the championships and contributes to the team reaching four consecutive finals, including the technical and free duet finals (where they placed tenth and eighth respectively) and the upcoming free team final scheduled for the next day. The Israeli Swimming Association had anticipated finalists, but securing four finals across four events is considered a significant success for the young team.

In the coming days, the Israeli team will continue competing in the free team routine, technical team routine, and acrobatics events, aiming to build on their impressive showing so far.
