One Dead and Nine Injured in Serious Collision on Israel's Route 98

A man in his mid-30s died in a severe traffic accident on Route 98 involving two private vehicles. The crash left nine others injured, who were evacuated to Poriya Medical Center in northern Israel. Emergency responders from Magen David Adom (MDA) received the accident report via their 101 hotline in the Jordan district and arrived to find the man unconscious with multiple severe injuries. Despite medical efforts, his death was confirmed at the scene. Among the injured, one man around 30 years old was in moderate condition with limb injuries, while eight others sustained minor injuries.

Paramedics Tal Tavznik, Shlomi Boxer, and Gadi Eli described the scene as a serious collision with one vehicle heavily damaged. Firefighters from the Galil-Golan station used hydraulic rescue tools to extract the deceased from the wreckage. The fire and rescue teams also conducted thorough searches for additional victims and worked to clear the accident site. Incident commander Lahav Amal Batach highlighted the complexity of the rescue operation and the use of specialized equipment to free the trapped individual.
