Former Israeli basketball player Jeremy Pargo recently spoke about Russell Westbrook's current status in the NBA amid ongoing rumors of a possible move to Europe. Pargo, who played for teams including Maccabi Tel Aviv and Hapoel Jerusalem, emphasized in a podcast with Joe Johnson and Josh Smith that although Westbrook is no longer the player he was at 25, he is far from finished. "He is one of the best people I've ever met in my life," Pargo said, noting his close personal knowledge of Westbrook despite never being teammates.

Pargo highlighted Westbrook's goal at this stage of his career as winning an NBA championship and suggested that teams like Houston, which have long sought a point guard, could benefit from Westbrook as a backup. He praised Westbrook's consistent effort, defensive intensity, and game management skills, including his ability to find teammates like Kevin Durant and facilitate easy scoring opportunities. The only area Pargo suggested Westbrook needs to improve is reducing turnovers.

Furthermore, Pargo expressed no objection to a potential reunion between Westbrook and Durant in Houston, believing Westbrook would add a unique dimension to the point guard position. He concluded by saying that Westbrook, now older, is focused solely on winning and playing basketball the right way, no longer concerned with distractions from his youth.
