MK Hili Tropper Strongly Condemns Netanyahu Over Draft Law Promises
On Sunday, Member of Knesset Hili Tropper sharply criticized Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu following his recent update on the military draft law. Tropper rejected Netanyahu's promise to conscript ultra-Orthodox Jews, arguing that the Prime Minister's conduct throughout the ongoing war makes his words unreliable. Tropper highlighted the heavy toll of the conflict, noting nearly three years of war with 966 IDF soldiers killed, 24,000 wounded, and hundreds of thousands of reserve duty orders issued. He accused Netanyahu of repeatedly refusing to pass a genuine draft law and siding with ultra-Orthodox parties against the military's position. Tropper emphasized the contradiction between Netanyahu's current pledge to draft ultra-Orthodox soldiers and his past actions, concluding with a blunt statement: "It is simply impossible to believe him."
