Military officials in Tehran rejected Trump's claims that Iran requested a halt to the attack, labeling them as falsehoods aimed at pressuring Gulf states. The conservative Kayhan newspaper criticized Trump sharply, linking his retreat to reports of depleted U.S. air defense systems in the region and urging Iranian leaders to change their approach toward Washington. Kayhan questioned why Iran has not declared a firm stance against any imminent agreements despite Trump's claims of progress.
