Hapoel Holon Signs Forward Brandon Jones Jr. as Sixth Foreign Player

Hapoel Holon announced the signing of power forward Brandon Jones Jr. (26 years old, 2.03 meters) on August 1, 2026. Jones Jr. joined the Israeli team from Sporting Lisbon in Portugal, where he averaged 14.5 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game in the domestic league. In the EuroCup, he posted averages of 13.4 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 1.9 assists per game. Previously, in his first season outside the United States, he played for Swiss club Lulea, averaging 18.8 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 1.9 assists per game.

Jones Jr.'s college career included four seasons at Michigan and a final season with the VCU Rams, where he averaged 11.6 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 0.7 assists per game. Hapoel Holon's head coach, Predrag Krunic, praised Jones Jr. as a versatile and mobile player capable of playing both frontcourt positions, highlighting his European experience and his offensive and defensive skills that will help the team compete and play collective basketball.

The club's sporting director, Daniel Ravitz, added that Jones Jr. brings toughness, positional flexibility, excellent defense, and a team-first mentality. Ravitz expressed confidence that Jones Jr. will continue his development following a strong season at Sporting Lisbon and become a key contributor for Hapoel Holon in the upcoming season.
