Ultra-Orthodox Protest in Jerusalem for Fifth Consecutive Week Against Café Open on Sabbath

For the fifth consecutive week, ultra-Orthodox protesters gathered in Jerusalem to demonstrate against the café "Basemta" remaining open on the Sabbath. The protests turned violent, with about ten individuals attempting to confront patrons inside the café but were repelled by police forces. The demonstrations took place outside the establishment, continuing the ongoing tension over Sabbath observance in the city.

Avigdor Lieberman, chairman of the Israel Beiteinu party, arrived at the scene to oppose the protests. During his visit, he was met with hostile chants from the demonstrators. The police maintained order and prevented escalation during the confrontations.
