Brazilian Forward Luan Leaves Romanian Club Unannounced Before Joining Israeli Team

Luan Campus, a Brazilian forward who recently scored the winning goal for Hapoel Ramat Gan in their Toto Cup victory over Hapoel Petah Tikva, arrived at the Israeli club under unusual circumstances. Previously playing for Romanian side U Cluj, Luan left the team without notifying the club's management and was subsequently removed from the squad. Romanian media reported that his departure was due to unpaid wages, but the club has yet to officially announce his exit, and he remains registered with the Romanian Football Federation.

This is not the first time Luan has left a club abruptly. In late 2025, Turkish media reported that he disappeared from Sivasspor's training camp and informed the club through his agent that he would not return, again without official communication to the club's management. During his stint at U Cluj, Luan made 10 appearances, scoring one goal and providing two assists. He developed at Palmeiras' academy and has played professionally in Portugal, Turkey, and Romania before moving to Israel.
