Former Manchester City Winger Jayden Braaf Trials with Hapoel Haifa After Year Without Play

Hapoel Haifa is looking to strengthen its squad by bringing in Dutch winger Jayden Braaf, 23, who will undergo a trial period with the club and is expected to play in the Toto Cup match against Hapoel Kiryat Shmona. Braaf, who has not played competitively for nearly a year, previously featured in the youth teams of Manchester City and Borussia Dortmund, and has played for clubs including Udinese, Fortuna Sittard, and Salernitana.

His most recent stint was with Hellas Verona in Serie A, where he made only six appearances since joining in 2023 before being released. Braaf also has experience at the international youth level, having scored two goals in three appearances for the Netherlands U18 team. Earlier this month, he trialed with German second-division side Osnabrück but did not secure a contract. Hapoel Haifa's trial and potential signing of Braaf represent a gamble given his long absence from competitive football, but the club is hopeful he can earn a contract and contribute to the team.
