Palestinian Attempts to Seize Israeli Security Officer’s Weapon in Gush Etzion, Arrested

Exactly one week after a shooting attack involving a weapon theft from Israeli forces, the IDF reported a suspected similar incident in the Gush Etzion area on Friday. According to the report, an altercation occurred near Misad in the Etzion Brigade region between an Israeli civilian and several Palestinians, involving stone-throwing at the Israeli. The local security coordinator responded quickly, detaining several suspects. Subsequently, a Palestinian who arrived at the scene allegedly tried to grab the security officer’s weapon. The security coordinator fired a warning shot at the suspect’s legs before detaining him. The suspect was then arrested by an IDF unit and will be transferred for further investigation by security forces.
