Sherif Kayouf Nears Loan Move to Hapoel Ramat Gan as Maccabi Haifa Plans for Goalkeeper Shakeup

Maccabi Haifa’s goalkeeper situation is drawing attention this summer, with several moves potentially reshaping the club’s depth chart. According to Sport Channel reporting, goalkeeper Sherif Kayouf is close to leaving on loan to newly promoted Hapoel Ramat Gan. He has already agreed in principle to the personal terms of the move and is now waiting for Maccabi Haifa’s approval.

If the loan goes through, Haifa has already identified Omer Nirאון as the likely backup goalkeeper. Nirאון is expected to return to action in about a month after undergoing shoulder surgery. The club’s projected third-choice keeper next season is Glenn Alwin, while Mark Golenkov will remain the first goalkeeper for the youth team.

The same report also addressed the future of Yermakov, after Ukrainian media said Metalist Kharkiv had offered Maccabi Haifa 3 million euros for him. Haifa denied receiving an offer, but the outlet reported that an official bid is expected in the coming days. During Yermakov’s time with Ukraine’s national team, pressure was reportedly put on him to join the local club.

Haifa intends to raise Yermakov’s salary substantially from his current 200,000-euro wage. If he is sold, the club already has a replacement plan in place, with Omri Glazer expected to arrive in his place. The report also noted that Roy Fox has been appointed team manager.
