Israeli Man Stabbed at Ozora Festival in Hungary; Multiple Arrests Made

An Israeli man in his 30s was stabbed on Thursday at the Ozora International Trance Festival in Hungary and was hospitalized. The stabbing occurred early Tuesday morning, according to Hungarian media reports, after security personnel alerted the police in Fejer County. Two men were arrested on suspicion of assault related to the stabbing. Authorities are continuing their investigation and have increased security measures at the festival in cooperation with the organizers to ensure participant safety.

Ozora Festival, held annually in the Dadpusta/Igar-Vamsolhegy area of west-central Hungary, is one of Europe's largest trance and art festivals, attracting thousands of attendees worldwide. Alongside the stabbing incident, Hungarian authorities reported several drug-related arrests connected to the festival. On Monday, three men, a Belgian, an Israeli, and a Portuguese, were detained at the festival for selling drugs and are now facing charges.

Additionally, on Sunday evening, a 27-year-old Israeli was arrested in Tolna County while en route to the festival in a rental car with German license plates. Police found a significant quantity of party drugs suspected to be intended for sale at the event. The Szekszárd District Court extended his detention by one month due to flight risk and concerns about potential interference with the investigation, citing his lack of ties to Hungary.
