Northern Israel Residents Advised to Open Windows Ahead of Expected IDF Explosions

Residents in northern Israel were informed Thursday evening to expect a loud explosion during the night in the Ramas Ridge, Hula Valley, and northern Golan Heights areas. The blast is anticipated between 11 p.m. and 1 a.m. Due to the potential intensity, residents of Metula and Misgav Am were specifically instructed to open their windows to reduce the risk of glass shattering from the shockwave. The notice emphasized that there is no change in the overall security assessment and no additional unusual instructions were issued for other local communities.

This alert comes amid heightened tensions along the Lebanon border following a Hezbollah explosive drone attack earlier this week on an Israeli engineering vehicle in the ridge area, an incident considered a violation of the ceasefire. Israeli military sources told ynet that a possible target for retaliation is the tunnel system in the Ali Taher ridge, where dozens of Hezbollah militants have been reportedly stationed for some time. The IDF is currently awaiting political approval from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and other senior officials before proceeding.

At this stage, it has not been officially confirmed whether the planned explosions residents were warned about are connected to the anticipated military response or other IDF operations.
