Omer Atzili Ranks Second to Eran Zahavi in European Goals for Israeli Clubs

Omer Atzili scored a crucial penalty for Beitar Jerusalem against Larnaca, marking his 21st goal in European competitions for Israeli clubs. This achievement places him second only to Eran Zahavi, who leads with 35 goals. Atzili has netted four goals in five European matches over the past two years for the Jerusalem-based team and has also scored twice for Omonia Nicosia. His 21 goals represent one of the highest tallies by an Israeli player for Israeli teams in European tournaments.

For comparison, other notable Israeli players include Yossi Benayoun with 15 European goals, Alon Mizrahi with 17, Yaniv Katan with 15, and Roberto Colautti with 14.
