Israeli Police Use Undercover Agent to Charge 15 with Weapons and Drug Trafficking
The Southern District Prosecutor's Office has filed nine indictments against 15 suspects in the Beersheba District Court for offenses related to weapons trafficking, possession, and drug crimes. The charges stem from an undercover operation conducted by a police agent between January 2025 and June 2026. During this period, the undercover agent established contact with the accused and carried out controlled purchases of firearms and drugs to gather evidence.
According to the indictments, the agent was sold various types of handguns and was also offered assault rifles including M-16s and Kalashnikovs, explosive devices, and other weaponry. This operation was part of a broader effort by law enforcement to combat illegal arms and drug trade in the region. The case is now proceeding through the judicial system in Beersheba.
