Israeli Journalist Adva Dadon Receives Unexpected Blessing From Former Mother-in-Law Before Wedding
Israeli journalist Adva Dadon, 37, and actor Yadin Gelman, 32, are set to marry this Friday, two years after their engagement. Ahead of the wedding, Dadon received a heartfelt and surprising blessing from her former mother-in-law, Irina Shalmor, who is also the grandmother of Dadon's daughter Ilan from her previous marriage to Gilad Shalmor. Shalmor shared a photo with Dadon on Instagram, recalling standing by her side at her first wedding about eight years ago and expressing hope for a successful new chapter with Gelman.
In her message, Shalmor humorously wished Dadon and Gelman great love, success, many children, and a peaceful life together. Dadon responded warmly, calling Shalmor her beloved mother-in-law forever. Dadon and Shalmor's son Gilad married Dadon in 2017, had daughter Ilan, and divorced five years later. Dadon began dating Gelman in 2023, who was severely injured in October during fighting near Israel's border communities and has been undergoing rehabilitation since.
The couple got engaged in 2024 and welcomed their son Yonatan in August. Their wedding celebration will span a weekend at a boutique hotel in northern Israel with around 300 guests. Meanwhile, Gilad Shalmor is currently in a relationship with actress and singer Esther Rada.
