Trump Vows Strong Retaliation Against Iran After Missile Attacks on US Forces

Six days ago, the United States launched its latest wave of strikes against Iran, leading to a period of relative calm in the Middle East. However, this calm was broken yesterday when Iran's Revolutionary Guards fired a barrage of missiles at American forces stationed in Jordan. Within two hours of the missile launch, the US and Saudi Arabia conducted airstrikes targeting pro-Iranian militias in Iraq, reportedly killing around 20 Iranian advisors.

The day after these events, US President Donald Trump issued stern warnings against Iran during an interview with Fox News correspondent Trey Yingst in Israel, stating, "We will dismantle them." Later that evening at the White House, Trump declined to specify the timing of further actions but emphasized his intent to strike Iran hard, saying, "They know it’s coming and asked us not to do it. Five missiles were fired, all intercepted. Now it’s our turn. We’ll see if we can reach an agreement."

When questioned about a recent explosion at an Egyptian port, which was reportedly part of Iran’s retaliation targets following an attack attributed to Ukraine on an Iranian ship, Trump acknowledged the incident as related and assured it would be addressed, adding, "We’re going to hit them a little."
