Seven Injured in Serious Three-Vehicle Crash on Highway 90 Near Ashdot Yaakov

A severe traffic accident involving three vehicles occurred on Highway 90 near Ashdot Yaakov, resulting in seven injuries. Emergency medical teams from Magen David Adom (MDA) treated and evacuated the injured to Rambam Hospital in Haifa and Poriya Medical Center. Among the wounded, a man in his 30s sustained critical multi-system trauma and was trapped in his vehicle. He was airlifted by MDA's rescue helicopter to Rambam Hospital, receiving a blood transfusion en route to stabilize his condition.

Three other victims were moderately injured, including a woman in her 30s with abdominal and chest injuries, a five-year-old girl with abdominal trauma, and a one-year-old infant with a head injury. The remaining three injured individuals were lightly hurt and taken to Poriya Medical Center. Paramedics provided on-site emergency care such as bleeding control, bandaging, and immobilization. The helicopter paramedics, Meir Ben Yair and Amnon Barzilai, emphasized the critical nature of the man's injuries and the advanced medical support provided during the flight.

The incident highlights the dangers on Highway 90 and the rapid response capabilities of MDA's ground and air teams in managing severe trauma cases and ensuring timely hospital transfers.
