Israeli Forces Demolish Illegal Structures in Judean Desert Nature Reserve

Israeli military forces, alongside the Civil Administration's enforcement unit and the Settlement Administration, carried out a focused operation yesterday to demolish several illegal buildings within the agreed-upon nature reserve area in the Judean Desert. This joint enforcement action aims to uphold the law, curb unauthorized construction, and protect public lands and open spaces in Judea and Samaria.

Yaron Rosenthal, head of the Gush Etzion Regional Council, praised the decisive enforcement efforts and thanked the involved parties, including the IDF, the Civil Administration's enforcement unit, the Settlement Administration led by Minister Bezalel Smotrich, and the council's land department. Rosenthal emphasized that this operation marks only the beginning of a broader campaign to maintain consistent enforcement against illegal construction in the nature reserve.

He stressed the importance of continuing these efforts to ensure a safe, open, and preserved environment for both residents of eastern Gush Etzion and visitors to the Judean Desert. The demolition reflects ongoing measures to safeguard public lands and enforce regulations in the region.
