Pedestrian Killed in Fatal Hit-and-Run at Hadera's Rabbi Ovadia Yosef Junction

A 45-year-old man died after being struck by a passing vehicle at the Rabbi Ovadia Yosef junction in Hadera during the night between Tuesday and Wednesday. Emergency teams arrived at the scene shortly after the accident was reported at 01:19 and found the pedestrian unconscious with severe multiple injuries. Paramedics Alexander Goldenberg and Elimelech Michalovich from Magen David Adom described the scene as very difficult, confirming the man's death at the site due to the severity of his wounds.

Volunteers from ZAKA's Northern District were called to the scene to collect evidence and ensure the dignity of the deceased. David Birnbaum, head of the ZAKA team in the north, also described the scene as very difficult, noting the pedestrian suffered critical injuries from the vehicle impact.
