Shake Milton Joins Hapoel Jerusalem on $1 Million Contract for Upcoming Season

Hapoel Jerusalem has secured guard Shake Milton on a one-year contract worth $1 million, marking another significant addition to the team coached by Sasha Obradovic. Milton, 29, who stands 1.96 meters tall, arrives from Partizan Belgrade after one season in the EuroLeague, where he averaged 6.9 points per game despite battling injuries. Previously, Milton played in the NBA from 2018 to 2025 with teams including the Philadelphia 76ers and the Los Angeles Lakers, appearing in 359 games and known for his physical style of play. His best NBA season saw him average 13 points per game.

Milton was also considered a candidate for Maccabi Tel Aviv as a replacement for Loni Walker, but ultimately chose Hapoel Jerusalem. In the Adriatic League last season, he posted 11.9 points per game with a 46.9% three-point shooting percentage. This signing is expected to be Hapoel Jerusalem's fifth new player this summer. The club has already signed guard Jalen Smith and center Devontae Cacok to two-year deals, forward David Roddy on a $1.5 million one-year contract with an option for another year, and forward Kenny Lofton Jr. on a $1.3 million one-year deal.

Additionally, Hapoel Jerusalem extended Jared Harper's contract through the 2028/29 season with a salary of $1.7 million per year. The next anticipated signing is Serbian center Dušan Miličić, who played last season with Cluj in the EuroCup and is close to finalizing a deal with the Jerusalem team. These moves reflect the club's ambition to strengthen its roster for the upcoming season in the Israeli Basketball Premier League.
