Man in His 60s Drowns at Hof HaBonim Beach, Condition Critical

A man in his 60s drowned at Hof HaBonim beach on Tuesday afternoon and is currently in critical condition. The incident was reported to Magen David Adom (MDA) at 16:42, prompting an immediate emergency response. Paramedics and medics arrived quickly and found the man unconscious, without pulse or breathing. They administered advanced life-saving treatments including CPR, rescue breaths, and medication at the scene.

The medical team continued resuscitation efforts while urgently transporting him to Rambam Hospital in Haifa via ambulance. MDA's Carmel district deputy director and paramedic Tom Retig, along with medic Linoy Azulai, described the intense efforts to save the man’s life, emphasizing that he was pulled from the water unresponsive. His condition remains critical as medical teams persist in their efforts.

Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the drowning. The rescue operation highlights the swift and coordinated response by emergency services to a life-threatening situation at the beach.
