Dozens of Fire Crews, Six Aircraft Battle Forest Fire Near Beit Shemesh
Dozens of firefighting teams and six aircraft are working to contain a forest fire that broke out near Moshav Nes Harim in the Beit Shemesh area. Fire and Rescue Services said the blaze began in the Nahal Dolev area, on the road ascending from Beit Shemesh to Nes Harim.
According to the agency, many crews from the Jerusalem District, supported by teams from nearby districts, are trying to extinguish a forest and brush fire in difficult, hard-to-reach terrain. The fire’s center is in a complex area, and crews are operating from several directions.
The main effort is to prevent the flames from spreading toward nearby settlements and residential areas. Firefighters and aircraft remain focused on stopping the fire’s advance.
