Israeli Defense Minister Reveals US Blocks Strikes on Iranian Energy Sites

Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant disclosed in a Channel 14 interview that American fighter jets take off from Israel to conduct strikes in Iran, a fact known to Iranian authorities. He discussed the recent meeting between US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Washington, highlighting differences between the two countries regarding actions against the Iranian regime. Galant stated that the US has broader interests in Iran than Israel does.

Galant revealed that Israel wishes to attack Iranian energy targets but currently lacks US approval for such operations. He emphasized Israel's achievements against Iran, describing the Iranian regime as a "haughty empire" that has collapsed. Despite the disagreements with the US, Galant affirmed Israel's readiness to defend itself and act independently against Iranian threats, warning that any attack on Israel would be met with a full-scale Israeli response.

Additionally, Galant outlined a contingency plan if Hamas fails to comply with an agreement. Israel intends to establish Nahal (pioneer military) outposts in three evacuated northern Gaza Strip communities: Dugit, Nisanit, and Elei Sinai. This move would follow an official announcement that Hamas breached the agreement.
