Man in His 50s Killed in Car Explosion Near Highway 65
A man in his 50s was killed on Friday in a car explosion at the Mushraifa junction near Highway 65. Another man was lightly injured in the same incident.
Magen David Adom crews treated the injured at the scene and evacuated both men to Haemek Hospital. Shortly afterward, doctors pronounced the first victim dead. MDA paramedics Ronen Abramov, Mohammad Dyaif and Ronza Zarzour said they received reports of a car explosion, arrived to find the vehicle burning and two casualties nearby.
They said the 51-year-old man was semi-conscious and suffered multiple traumatic injuries, while the second victim was lightly hurt. The medics added that both were taken by intensive-care ambulances to the hospital, with one in serious condition and the other in light condition at the time of evacuation.
Police said that after the initial report about the explosion near Mushraifa on Highway 65, large forces from the Umm al-Fahm station reached the area and opened an investigation together with bomb disposal and forensic units.
